What are Dermal Fillers?
Embrace your skin's definition.
Dermal fillers are used to add volume in areas such as the lips, the cheeks, temple area, smile lines, and the jawline. Dermal fillers add definition to target areas by attracting water from the body to the injection area. Starting at the age of 25, our body’s collagen production levels decrease, and treatments that involve dermal fillers help restore collagen production for a youthful look.
What To Expect During Filler Procedure
Easy to use and easy to recover from.
The process of dermal fillers and the recovery process is relatively simple. After cleaning the injection site, the injection only takes a few moments. While the process isn’t entirely painless, the injection is typically very tolerated. An anesthetic ointment can be used to help numb the area if necessary.
After the procedure, the results are evaluated, and we can determine if more fillers are needed. An ice pack can help reduce the swelling and alleviate any discomfort. However, the area may feel slightly tender for up to two days, but usually not enough to require medication to be prescribed. Most activities can be resumed right after the procedure, but any intense activity is advised to be put on hold for at least 48 hours.
